About us

Jamaah is a support platform for musallahs. The aim is to help communities stay informed, and to take routine work off the people who already give their time.

Why Jamaah exists

We are developing a support platform so musallahs can serve their communities with less workload. Members and visitors still need answers. A website still needs to be current. Those tasks are real, and they repeat, often for people who are already volunteering their time.

Jamaah is being built so a musallah can send the request — on WhatsApp or through other channels — and have it carried through. The work is practical. It is not a replacement for the community itself.

Two kinds of support

Community support helps members and visitors get answers about programs, services, prayer times, and locations. Technology support keeps the website updated with announcements and events, shares posts on Facebook and other channels, and covers domain, hosting, and email.

Both use the same rule. We work from the information and approved content you send. The two areas are set out on the home page.

The rest of your digital presence

We can also help with other aspects of your digital presence. Jamaah is a digital platform organization, so alongside community and technology support we can create and integrate learning platforms, and assist with other technology platforms you use.

If there is another digital need, tell us. Where that work sits outside the monthly support, we will say so and agree with your team how we can assist.

Who it is for

The service is for musallahs, and it is shared on purpose. Serving many musallahs is what makes one subscription possible for each of them. A fair-use scope applies so that shared offer can stay in place.

The monthly offer, including hosting and an eligible standard domain, is on the home page.

How we work with your team

Jamaah does not replace the musallah. Questions that need your input are passed back to your team. For the website, and for posts on Facebook and other channels, we work from the changes and approved content you send.

If you already have a website, we can maintain it. If you do not, we can create a standard one. A standard site carries announcements, events, prayer times, location, programs, and services — the same public information the rest of the service looks after.

What we will not do

We will not publish an announcement, an event, or a social post that you have not approved. We will not answer a member or visitor by guessing when the information is missing. We will not treat a request that sits outside community support and technology support as if it were already included.

When something needs your judgment, it comes back to you. When something is outside the fair-use scope, we say so and agree the next step with your team.
